Tech Tip #5: Brake Pad/Shoe
Compounds
EPI now offers three different
compounds of brake pads/shoes for many different brands of ATV's
to match your riding style.
The standard style is a carbon
graphite material to match your stock OE brake pads/shoes. These
are a general replacement that will run cooler than stock.
The Heavy Duty style is a better
replacement for your stock pads/shoes. These are a sintered metal
pad/shoe with increased density for a longer life. These
pads/shoes will hold up better than stock for all around use.
The Big Foot Extreme Application
brake pad/shoes are for exactly what the name says. Designed for
extreme applications for hard core riders, these pads/shoes are
the highest quality, longest lasting, sintered pads available. If
you are riding in extreme conditions such as mud, sand dunes,
water, snow, or if you have bigger tires, these are the pads/shoes
for you. Extreme conditions and riders require extreme parts and
that is why these were developed.
